PSHE & RSE

At Foxfield our aim is that all pupils leave as happy, successful individuals who have the confidence to play an active role in both their own and the wider community. We want our children and young people to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives now and in the future  and who thrive as individuals, family members and members of society,  equipped to live healthy, safe, productive, capable, responsible and balanced lives.

We want our children to have high aspirations, to believe in themselves and realise that anything is possible if they put their mind to it. In a complex world, it is important that they are aware, to an appropriate level, of the different factors which will affect their world and that they learn how to deal with these so that they have good mental health and well-being. Our intention is to help pupils to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and to identify and manage risk, make informed choices and understand what influences their decisions. Our pupils will learn to recognise, accept and shape their identities, to understand and accommodate difference and change, to manage emotions and to communicate constructively in a variety of settings. Developing an understanding of themselves, empathy and the ability to work with others,  forming and maintaining  good relationships.
